Director of Human Resources
Ros is a commercially focused, chartered senior HR professional with extensive HR management experience across the independent healthcare sector. Ros has broad experience across complex change management and strategic projects that add commercial value in a business environment. She is experienced at leading, influencing and coaching. A customer focused individual with the ability to quickly get to the heart of an issue, build relationships and deliver creative, pragmatic solutions. Ros has worked for many of the independent health providers including BUPA and Nuffield, she led the HR work streams on five hospital start-ups on the Independent Sector Treatment Centre programme and most recently managed the HR function in a hospital in the Middle East.
Peter qualified as a Mechanical Engineer in 1981 and worked worldwide in the oil industry before returning home to the UK in 1987. Since then he has worked in the Private Healthcare Sector, managing a number of hospitals across the UK to include The Harley Street Clinic, where he opened the first private cancer unit in London. More recently and before joining KIMS, Peter worked for BMI Healthcare as the Regional Director for London, responsible for 15 hospitals. Peter is a Board Member of The Red Cross Medical & Scientific Division, which raises money for worldwide projects and he is also a Fellow of The Duke of Edinburgh International Award for Young People.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Mark has over 25 years’ experience in business development and sales roles. Before moving into healthcare he was an Area Director with Royal Bank of Scotland Group, looking after small to medium-sized businesses and a team of 20 Development Managers. In 2009 he moved into private healthcare with Spire in East Kent, as part of the senior management team. In his time at Spire he increased revenue by 40 per cent, through developing effective relationships with consultants, GPs and key stakeholders.
Jackie is a highly-experienced clinical leader specialising in the management and development of nursing teams and allied health professionals. She has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of the public and private sectors, with proven expertise in the creation and delivery of education and training programmes.
Mr Ron Hoile
Mr Hoile has worked in Kent as a Consultant General Surgeon with an interest in Vascular Surgery at the Medway NHS Trust for 24 years (1983-2007). During that time he held several managerial roles including Royal College of Surgeons Tutor and Clinical Director for Surgery. He was the Principal Surgical Coordinator for NCEPOD and author of reports for 15 years. He has published widely and has gone on to develop a portfolio of clinical surgery, clinical governance and management roles within both the private sector and the NHS. He has served as Non-Executive Director for East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Hoile holds a Certificate of Teaching Experience and was previously a member of the RCS faculty for ‘Training the Trainers’. He teaches on the Christchurch University, Canterbury Surgical Masters course as well as a module on the M Ed course in Surgical Education at Imperial College.
Mr Hoile is a current member of the Court of Examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (examining in Communication Skills & Anatomy) and, until March 2013, was a panel member for GMC Fitness to Practise Tribunals, serving for 12 years. He is a trained medical appraiser and also a Responsible Officer for Medical Revalidation for several Independent Sector organisations.
Chief Executive Officer
Simon joined KIMS from Nuffield Health, where he was Hospital Director for the flagship 64 bed Manor Hospital, in Oxford. Simon is a well-rounded, business leader with 15 years of MD level experience in UK healthcare, having worked as both a successful entrepreneur and for large corporations running hospitals and multisite organisations providing mission critical, regulated hospital support services to the NHS and private providers.
Peter has worked within theatres all across Kent for some 24 years. During this time, Peter has worked his way up into Theatre Management. Peter has commissioned multiple new theatre projects, the one most recently was helping the commissioning of the new PFI at Pembury Hospital, Tunbridge Wells. Peter has also worked as a Clinical Advisor for procurement, this role involved working closely with Surgical Directors implementing change management and cost effective saving plans. Peter has a vast knowledge of theatres and the business side of KIMS.
A graduate of the City University Business School, Simon trained with a local firm of accountants before moving into industry. He has held directorships in a number of private clinics and diagnostic imaging centres and brings a wealth of private healthcare experience to the KIMS Senior Management Team having worked in the sector for more than twenty eight years.
Chief Operating Officer
Marcus Whiteley, from Staplehust in Kent brings with him over 30 years’ hospitality experience from the independent healthcare sector and luxury hotels.
Most recently, Marcus was Director of Operations at the prestigious King Edward VII’s Hospital in London, prior to which he held senior management positions at the Harley Street Clinic and London Clinic. Earlier in his career, Marcus served in operational roles at a number of five star hotels including the Ritz Hotel London, the Conrad International Hotel in Hong Kong and Claridges, London.
