Cardiac Rehabilitation Services
Our care programme does not end when you leave KIMS. We follow-up and support our patients until they have completed their recovery.
The cardiac care programme, which begins when patients are first admitted to KIMS, draws on the skills of many different healthcare practitioners, including specialist cardiac nurses.
The aim of the programme is to help our patients recover as fully as possible in terms of their physical and mental wellbeing.
This is achieved through a structured programme, individually tailored to the needs of each person, which includes psychological support, information and lifestyle/ relaxation education and advice and exercise training.
Our team of chartered and HCPC-registered physical therapists work in accordance with practice guidelines and providing one-to-one treatment and the appropriate care and support throughout their journey from inpatient through to long-term follow-up.
