Only four year’s since opening, KIMS Hospital has been rated ‘Good’ across all areas of its service by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). In addition, the inspectors found a number of areas of Outstanding practise across the hospital, including for our cardiac catheterisation laboratory which is part of the only interventional cardiology suite in an independent hospital in Kent.
Simon James, CEO, KIMS Hospital comments, “I am delighted with the findings of the CQC inspection but we are not resting on our laurels. This is a clear vindication of the hard work everyone at the hospital has put in; all our staff, and the Consultants and Doctors should rightly be proud of what we have achieved working together. All of us at KIMS Hospital remain passionate about delivering safe, outstanding, quality care and the next step must be to work towards an Outstanding rating across the hospital.”
In addition to the ‘Good’ rating for the three main areas of service at KIMS Hospital; medical care, surgery and outpatients and diagnostics imaging, the CQC noted ‘Outstanding’ practice across other areas of the hospital. In particular;
