Local man appointed Chief Operating Officer at KIMS Hospital, Maidstone

 

Marcus Whiteley

Marcus Whiteley, from Staplehust in Kent has joined the Senior Management Team of KIMS Hospital as Chief Operating Officer, bringing with him over 30 years’ hospitality experience from the independent healthcare sector and luxury hotels.

Most recently, Whiteley was Director of Operations at the prestigious Kind Edward VII’s Hospital in London, prior to which he held senior management positions at the Harley Street Clinic and London Clinic. Earlier in his career, Whiteley served in operational roles at a number of five star hotels including the Ritz Hotel London, the Conrad International Hotel in Hong Kong and Claridges, London.

Whiteley, said, “I’m really delighted to be utilising my experience to help the people of Kent. KIMS Hospital has some of the most advanced medical technology and leading Consultants in the county. I’m joining a great team of people who care passionately about their patients. My role at KIMS Hospital is about continuously improving our patient experience from the moment a patient first arrives at the hospital, during their stay with us through to the point they go home. Coming into a hospital can be daunting, so it is a priority for me and my team to go the extra mile and exceed both our patients’ and visitors’ expectations.”
