What is the difference between a physiotherapist, osteopath and chiropractor?
A physiotherapist will diagnose and treat movement-related injuries and conditions, usually for a specific part of the body. An osteopath will treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, focusing on improving the wellness of the entire body by strengthening the joints, muscles and spine. A chiropractor is similar to an osteopath, but tends to focus more on spinal issues.
How will I know who I need to see?
You can see any member of the physical therapy team for an initial assessment. Following their evaluation of your condition and requirements they will ensure your ongoing treatment is with the most appropriate member of the team.
